Google runs the Pixel line in two tiers — Pixel (standard, e.g. Pixel 9) and Pixel Pro with a larger display, third tele lens and more RAM. From Pixel 9 onwards a Pixel 9 Pro XL with 6.8″ display joins the line. Pixel 6/7 use Tensor G1/G2, Pixel 8 the G3, Pixel 9 the G4. Tensor SoC is Google's own chip family — co-developed with Samsung Foundry. Tensor G1 launched in Pixel 6 (October 2021), Tensor G4 runs in Pixel 9 (August 2024).
