Apple's September 2026 line-up: the accessories that fit

Apple unveiled five devices on 9 September, and for most of them the accessories are worth a look before you even switch the device on. We do not sell the devices ourselves, only what protects them and keeps them usable longer. Here is what is new and what belongs with it.
What Apple showed on 9 September
The headline is the iPhone Duo, Apple's first folding iPhone with a 7.6-inch inner display and a 5.4-inch outer screen, from USD 1999 and available in Switzerland from 23 October. Alongside came iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max (out 18 September), the Apple Watch Series 12 with tougher Ceramic Shield 2, the Apple Watch Ultra 4 with up to 50 hours of battery and satellite SOS, and the AirPods 5, which bring active noise cancellation to the affordable tier for the first time.

iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo: protect first, enjoy second
A new iPhone deserves protection from day one. A tempered glass takes the scratches and the first corner drop before an expensive repair looms, and on the Pro a matching film also shields the large camera module. Then the right case: for the iPhone 18 Pro, ideally one with a MagSafe ring so chargers and mounts snap on instantly. On the folding iPhone Duo the case is trickier, because the hinge must stay clear, so a model made specifically for the fold is worth it.
MagSafe, charging and power banks
With the Qi2 standard the magnet ring now holds on almost every new phone. A MagSafe charger tops up wirelessly and keeps the phone upright, handy for video or as a bedside clock. On the move a power bank takes over: snapped on magnetically for a quick top-up, over a USB-C cable when speed matters. To use the new iPhone's full charging rate, pick a USB-C adapter of at least 30 watts.
Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4: band and protection
On the watch the band makes the day. A second band for sport, a finer one for the office, it costs little and changes a lot. The Series 12 display is harder thanks to Ceramic Shield 2, yet a screen protector or a wrap-around bumper still saves the edges from the door frame. AirPods 5: the small case with a big effect
The AirPods 5 bring active noise cancellation to the affordable tier for the first time, but their charging case wears out fastest when left bare. A silicone case for the AirPods 5 with a carabiner keeps the case clean, scratch-free and within reach on your bag.
