The MediaPad M5 10.8 (2018) is one of the last MediaPads before the 2019 US sanctions — it ran Android 8.0 / EMUI 8.0 (later updated to 9) with full Google Play access at the time. It is now end-of-life, Huawei no longer ships security updates. For everyday use (streaming, notes, browsing) it still works — security-critical apps should run on a more modern device.
