The MatePad Pro 5G is one of the few Huawei tablets with Qi wireless charging — the standard charging story on MediaPads is otherwise USB-C cable only. Here: Qi 27W wireless, USB-C 40W cable and reverse-wireless 7.5W (charge your phone on the back of the tablet!). MagSafe is Apple-only and not supported. The MatePad Pro 5G launched in late 2019 — just before and during the US sanctions on Huawei. Depending on shipping region and date, Google Play was partially no longer preinstalled, replaced by Huawei AppGallery. It ran Android 10.0 / EMUI 10.0 (later updates). It is now end-of-life — Huawei barely ships updates. For everyday use (streaming, notes, browsing) it still works — security-critical apps should run on a more modern device.
