Which Samsung tablet do I have?
Identify your Samsung Galaxy Tab model – via Settings, the model number (SM-…), or by series and size.
Pick your Galaxy Tab model directly
Fastest: in Settings
- Open Settings › About tablet.
- You'll see the model name and model number (e.g. Galaxy Tab S9, SM-X710).
- Also on the back or the box.
Identify by model number
The number starts with SM-X… (current tabs) or SM-T… (older). It's in Settings › About tablet and on the back.
Identify by series & size
No access to the menu? Here's how to place your Galaxy Tab:
Series
Tab S = premium (with S Pen), Tab A = entry, FE = Fan Edition, Tab Active = rugged.
Model number
SM-X… = current Galaxy Tabs, SM-T… = older models.
S Pen
The Tab S includes an S Pen. The Tab A usually doesn't.
Size
From about 8.7 inch (Tab A) to about 14.6 inch (Tab S Ultra).
