Which tablet do I have?
iPad or Android tablet: here's how to find the brand, model and size – via Settings or on the device itself.
Pick brand & model directly
Fastest: in Settings
- iPad: Settings › General › About › Model Name.
- Android tablet: Settings › About tablet › Model.
- The model number and brand are there too.
Identify by model number
Apple uses A2xxx, Samsung SM-…, other makers their own codes. The number is in Settings, engraved on the back or on the box.
Identify brand & type
No access to the menu? Here's how to place your tablet:
Brand
Logo on the back or at startup. Common: Apple (iPad), Samsung (Galaxy Tab), Lenovo, Amazon, Xiaomi, Huawei.
Operating system
iPad = iPadOS (Apple look). Android tablets show Samsung One UI, Amazon Fire OS, etc.
Model number
Apple A2xxx, Samsung SM-…, other makers their own codes.
Size
Mostly about 8 to 13 inch; extra-large models up to about 14.6 inch.
Tip: Determine the brand first (iPad, Samsung …), then pick brand + model in the finder above – to find matching protectors and cases.
