Computer chargers for MacBook and Windows laptops at RPD — from 30 W for the MacBook Air to 140 W USB-C PD 3.1 for the MacBook Pro 16″. Apple has used USB-C on all MacBooks since 2016, and the M-Series MacBook Pro 16″ has required USB-C PD 3.1 at 140 W since 2021 for full fast-charging. GaN technology makes even 100 W chargers as small as old 30 W models. We stock single-port adapters and multi-port chargers that power laptop plus smartphone at once. Same-day dispatch from Basel by 4 pm, free above CHF 15. 2-year Swiss warranty, invoice payment available (credit check by Powerpay).
140 W USB-C PD 3.1 for full fast-charging. A 100 W adapter also works but more slowly. You also need a USB-C cable with 240 W / 5 A E-Marker chip.
Yes perfectly — MacBook Air only needs 30 W, a 65 W or 100 W charger charges at full speed.
Gallium nitride replaces silicon in the semiconductor, produces less heat and enables about 50 % smaller housings at equal power.
Only very slowly — a 20 W iPhone adapter charges the MacBook Air, but under load it only maintains the battery level.
Shipped from our Basel warehouse — A-Post 1–2 working days, express next business day or free in-store pickup. Free above CHF 15.
Apple ships each MacBook with a matching adapter — the minimum rating is clear: MacBook Air 13″/15″ (M1/M2/M3) = 30 W, MacBook Pro 14″ (M-Series) = 70 W or 96 W depending on config, MacBook Pro 16″ M1/M2/M3/M4 = 140 W USB-C PD 3.1. With less wattage the laptop charges more slowly under load or only holds the battery level. Windows laptops typically need 45–100 W, gaming laptops 100–230 W (often proprietary plugs, not USB-C).
USB-C PD 3.0 delivers up to 100 W (5 A × 20 V). USB-C PD 3.1 EPR (Extended Power Range) extends to 240 W with 28 V/36 V/48 V voltage levels — required for MacBook Pro 16″ fast-charging at 140 W. Make sure your USB-C cable is also rated for 240 W (5 A E-Marker chip).
Gallium nitride chips (GaN) replace silicon and produce less heat. Result: a 100 W GaN charger is about 50 % smaller than an old 60 W silicon adapter. For travel and office commuting, GaN is the clear pick.
For frequent travellers a 3-port GaN charger with 100 W is great: MacBook (65 W) + iPhone (20 W) + iPad (15 W) all at once. Single-port models are more compact, ideal for desk office use.

Yes perfectly — MacBook Air only needs 30 W, a 65 W or 100 W charger charges at full speed. More wattage doesn't harm the laptop.

Only very slowly — a 20 W iPhone adapter does charge the MacBook Air, but under load it only maintains the battery level. For fast-charging you need at least 30 W (Air) or 70+ W (Pro).
