For 4K monitors you need a USB-C to HDMI 2.0 or 2.1 adapter at 4K60Hz. For 8K or 4K120Hz: USB-C to DisplayPort 2.1 or a Thunderbolt hub. HDR support should be explicitly stated. DSC (Display Stream Compression) is standard on HDMI 2.1.
USB-C to Gigabit Ethernet is enough for 1-Gbit internet. USB-C to 2.5 Gbps Ethernet makes sense with a 10-Gbit switch at home office and modern NAS. Wi-Fi 6E adapters are the mobile alternative.
