Guide & know-how
Keyboards, mice and gaming input devices at RPD — from the classic membrane keyboard for office work to the mechanical gaming keyboard with Cherry MX or hot-swap switches and RGB lighting. On the mouse side we stock ergonomic classics, vertical mice against RSI/mouse-arm and gaming models with high-precision sensors up to 26 000 DPI. Wireless via Bluetooth 5.x multi-device (switch between 3 devices at the press of a button) or USB dongle 2.4 GHz. Same-day dispatch from Basel by 4 pm, free above CHF 15. 2-year Swiss warranty, invoice payment available (credit check by Powerpay).
Membrane keyboards (from CHF 25) are cheap, quiet and solid for plain typing — Apple Magic Keyboard uses scissor mechanism (semi-mechanical). Mechanical keyboards with Cherry MX switches (Red = light linear, Brown = quiet tactile, Blue = clicky tactile) offer 50+ million keystrokes of life, perfect typing feel and hot-swap for custom builds. Office: membrane is enough. Heavy typists and gamers: mechanical.
Bluetooth 5.x multi-device switches between 3 devices at a key press — ideal for hybrid work (MacBook + iPad + phone). USB dongle 2.4 GHz has minimal latency (1 ms) — standard for gaming. USB cable is the lowest-latency option for esports setups.
Vertical mice keep the wrist in a natural handshake position, reducing forearm tension — ideal with mouse-arm complaints. Trackball mice move only the thumb or index finger while the rest of the hand stays still. Split keyboards relieve shoulder and wrist strain.
For esports: optical switches in the keyboard (8 000 Hz polling), 26 000 DPI sensor in the mouse with anti-slip coating. Mechanical keyboards with hot-swap switches let you tune feel per key. N-key rollover ensures simultaneous keystrokes without ghosting.
