Memory cards for every device and workflow — from fast microSD A2 V30 for Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck to V60 cards for 4K smartphone capture and V90 microSD or SD UHS-II for 8K video and ProRes RAW. We stock every class: A1/A2 (app-optimised), V30 (30 MB/s sustained), V60 (4K video), V90 (8K video, ProRes), UHS-I (standard) and UHS-II (300 MB/s, professional). Compatible with smartphones, tablets, DSLRs, action cams, drones, Switch and Steam Deck. Shipped from Basel — same day by 4 pm, free above CHF 15, 2-year Swiss warranty. Invoice payment available (credit check by Powerpay).
4K@30Hz needs V30, 4K@60Hz needs V60, 8K or ProRes 4K@60 needs V90. Match the camera spec — a V30 would drop frames at full load.
SDXC format, V30 + A2. A2 launches games faster. 256–512 GB is ideal.
No — typical cards last 1000–3000 write cycles per cell. For photo/video backup rotate every 2–3 years.
Not directly — iPhone has no SD slot. USB-C card reader for iPhone 15+ or Lightning adapter for older iPhones.
UHS-I (90 MB/s) is enough for most hobby cameras. UHS-II (300 MB/s) only pays off on professional bodies with a UHS-II slot.
Question 1: which device? Nintendo Switch / Steam Deck = microSD A2 V30 (faster app launches). Smartphone = microSD V30 with A2 class. Action cam / drone = V30 or V60. DSLR/mirrorless for stills = SD UHS-I or UHS-II. Video camera for 4K = V60 (microSD or SD), for 8K or ProRes = V90. Question 2: capacity? 32 GB = Switch save slot, 64–128 GB = smartphone, 256–512 GB = action cam with 4K capture, 1–2 TB = professional photo/video production. Question 3: which speed class? See table below.
The V symbol guarantees the minimum sustained write speed for video. V30 = at least 30 MB/s → full HD and 4K@30Hz. V60 = 60 MB/s → 4K@60Hz, professional hybrid cameras. V90 = 90 MB/s → 8K, ProRes 4K@60, Blackmagic workflow. Important: the device must support that class — a V90 in an old action cam only runs at V30 performance. Read speed is usually much higher (150–300 MB/s) than write — relevant for photo transfer to the computer.
Nintendo Switch takes microSDXC up to 2 TB, ideally V30 with A2 (faster app launches). Steam Deck also microSDXC, V30 or better. Smartphones with microSD slot (Samsung Galaxy A, Sony Xperia, Pixel 6a) — V30/A2 is standard, A2 for ‚app on SD''. DSLR/mirrorless typically use SD cards, professional bodies UHS-II (Sony A7 IV, Nikon Z8). Drones + action cams (GoPro Hero, DJI Mini): microSD V30+. iPhone and iPad have no SD slot — data goes via card reader.
Memory cards are usually water-, dust- and cold-resistant — premium Samsung, SanDisk and Lexar models survive salt water and frost. Power use is marginal (max 0.5 W when writing). Write lifespan: typical cards last 1000–3000 write cycles per cell — years for backup use, 1–2 years for continuous recording (dashcam). Rotate memory cards every 2–3 years or replace with an SSD backup.
4K@30Hz needs V30, 4K@60Hz needs V60, 8K or ProRes 4K@60 needs V90. If the camera spec says ‚V60 recommended'', buy V60 — a V30 would drop frames at full load.
SDXC format, V30 + A2. A2 launches games faster (lower random IOPS latency). 256–512 GB is ideal — 1 TB works but rarely worth it.
No — typical cards last 1000–3000 write cycles per cell. For photo/video backup: replace every 2–3 years with a new card or SSD. Premium SanDisk Pro or Lexar Professional cards have higher cycle limits.
Not directly — iPhone has no SD slot. You need a USB-C card reader (for iPhone 15+) or Lightning adapter (older iPhones).
UHS-I (90 MB/s) is enough for most hobby cameras. UHS-II (300 MB/s) only pays off on professional bodies with a UHS-II slot — price is 2–3× higher.
