Apple Watch Ultra 2 49mm Band, Protection & Accessories

Frequently Asked Questions

The Apple Watch Ultra 2 49mm has a 49mm case, so you need bands with a 49mm fitting. Apple''s Trail Loop, Alpine Loop and Ocean Band are 49mm-only. With an adapter, some 44/45/46mm bands mount as well, but look smaller.

Apple''s own bands offer the highest material and build quality, full magnetic compatibility and a perfect fit. Premium third-party brands (Spigen, Nomad, UAG, Pitaka) are often noticeably cheaper and come in more designs — quality gets very close. For sport, third-party bands are more than enough, for office and formal wear, many customers still pick Apple''s Milanese or leather band.

Press the small button on the back of the watch (band release) and slide the band out of the rail sideways. Push the new band into the same rail until it clicks. Make sure both halves of the band (top and bottom) are seated. It takes seconds and needs no tools.

The Ultra''s titanium case is already very impact-resistant, so a bumper case is not strictly necessary. A wrap-around case with an integrated glass layer additionally protects the screen edge against side impacts — useful for mountain sport or climbing. For maximum display protection, combine a hydrogel film or tempered glass with the case.

Fast charging is supported from Apple Watch Series 7 onward (up to 80 % in about 45 minutes). You need an Apple USB-C fast-charge cable and a USB-C power-delivery adapter of 18 W or more. The cable in the box supports fast charging — older USB-A watch chargers do not. Apple Watch Ultra, Ultra 2 and Series 8/9/10/11 also benefit from the fast-charge cable.
