Flip the watch over — the mm number is engraved on the caseback (38, 40, 41 or 42). Alternatively in the iPhone Watch app under “My Watch → General → About”. Series 1–3 = 38mm or 42mm, Series 4–6 + SE 1/2 = 40 or 44mm, Series 7–9 = 41 or 45mm, Series 10–11 = 42 or 46mm, Ultra = 49mm.
Yes — Apple kept the pin system compatible. 38, 40 and 41 mm bands are interchangeable (small visual gap with 38mm + 41-mm band). The legacy 42 mm model (Series 1–3) belongs in this hub, the new 42 mm of Series 10/11 in the 44–49mm hub.
Sport Loop is woven nylon with Velcro — length self-adjustable. Solo Loop is a seamless silicone loop with no clasp — you need the right size at purchase. Solo Loop is more minimalist and better for sleep, Sport Loop more universal.
No — Apple Watch has its own magnetic charging pad. MagSafe is iPhone-only from iPhone 12. Both are magnetic but technically different systems — a MagSafe puck does NOT charge an Apple Watch.
In our German-speaking-Switzerland stores we repair Apple Watch models — display, battery, crown. A full display repair typically runs CHF 200–400, 30–50 % cheaper than a refurbished replacement device. 14-day return policy, 2-year Swiss warranty.
Apple Watch bands are sold by case size, not by Series. This hub bundles every smaller model — Series 1, 2, 3 (38 mm), Series 1, 2, 3 (42 mm legacy), Series 4, 5, 6 (40 mm), SE 1, SE 2, SE 3 (40 mm), Series 7, 8, 9 (41 mm). Apple kept the pin mechanism cross-compatible across the years — a 40 mm band fits any 38/40/41 mm watch (Series 1–9 + SE 1/2/3). The legacy 42 mm case (Series 1–3) is mechanically different from the modern 42 mm of Series 10/11 — for that we have the separate 44–49mm hub.
Flip the watch over — the mm number is engraved directly on the caseback (e.g. "38 mm", "40 mm", "41 mm"). You can also read the model in the iPhone Watch app under "General → About". Quick Series-to-size table:
At RPD you find six standard material styles plus cross-archetype options:
For athletes and swimmers we recommend sport silicone or Solo Loop — chlorine- and saltwater-resistant. Runners grab the Sport Loop — light, breathable, no rattle. Business users combine Milanese or steel links on workdays, leather with a suit. Lifestyle users rotate three bands — Quick-Swap adapter takes 3 seconds. Travellers pick Sport Loop (wrinkle-free, light, washable). Sleep comfort: Solo Loop is seamless and won't press during nightly heart-rate readings. Sustainable options: bands from recycled silicone, vegan leather alternatives and Swiss-made-leather options are available.
The curved Apple Watch display is vulnerable to door-frame strikes and falls onto pavement. Bumper cases with raised lip protect the glass, a hydrogel film the display surface. A full Apple Watch display repair typically runs CHF 200–400 — a bumper from CHF 9 and a film from CHF 5 amortise on the first impact.
Apple Watch charges via the proprietary Apple magnetic pad (inductive, all models cross-compatible). Note: that is NOT MagSafe — MagSafe belongs to the iPhone-12-and-newer system. Series 7 and newer charge via the fast USB-C magnetic puck. Matching cables & power banks are also available from us.
Flip the watch over — the mm number is engraved on the caseback (38, 40, 41 or 42). Alternatively: iPhone Watch app → "My Watch" → "General" → "About" shows the model name and size. Series 1–3 = 38/42 mm, Series 4–6 + SE = 40/44 mm, Series 7–9 = 41/45 mm.
Yes — Apple deliberately kept the pin system compatible. 38, 40 and 41 mm bands are interchangeable (small visual gap with 38 mm case + 41 mm band). This does NOT apply to the 42 mm case of Series 10/11 — that is mechanically a new design.
Sport Loop is woven nylon with Velcro — you adjust the length yourself. Solo Loop is a seamless silicone loop with no clasp — you need the right size at purchase (Apple provides a print template). Solo Loop is more minimalist and better for sleep, Sport Loop more universal.
No — Apple Watch has its own magnetic charging pad (older or newer USB-C puck format). MagSafe is iPhone-only from iPhone 12. Both are magnetic but technically different systems — a MagSafe puck does NOT charge an Apple Watch.
